Welcome to Villa Dhyan
Meaning “contemplation” in Sanskrit, Dhyan is a unique property at the north end of the desirable Sayan area, known as the Beverly Hills of Ubud. Many 5-star hotels in the area are on the Sayan Ridge, north and south of the property (Four Seasons, Amandari, Mandapa, etc). Started in the late 1980s by German artist Peter Dittmar, Villa Dhyan was fully renovated in 2020, under new management.
THE ESTATE
Villa Dhyan sits on over 1,000 square meters, and includes 2 pools, 3 living structures, open-air living and dining rooms, kitchen and laundry facilities. The fully staffed, 4-bedroom and 4.5-bathroom villa can accommodate up to 8 adult guests. The property is not recommended for small children.

THE SUNSET SUITE

Wraparound windows provide almost unbroken 180° views of the Sayan Ridge and sunset! An indoor/outdoor bathroom, with both large rainfall shower and built-in bathtub, also offers amazing views. It has a spacious closet, writing desk and chaise long. Great movie nights can accommodate many people, with projector, screen, and surround sound system.
AMENITIES / FACILITIES
The Villa is fully staffed (cleaning, cooking and gardening/pool cleaning), who are on site until 4pm. Your privacy is respected, and guests have the villa entirely to themselves after that time, unless additional service is requested, or privacy is requested earlier (from 2pm on, to allow for cleaning).
THE RIDGE
The Sayan Ridge is a special place in Ubud, where most of the 5-star hotels are located. The Ayung River (the longest in Bali) winds through it, and laughter from rafters on it can often be heard.

Just the best place ever. The pictures don’t do it justice, this place is really amazing. The staff are super efficient, discret, courteous... the chef is doing is best Balinese food we ever had, the setting is beyond any expectations, with a infinity pool over looking the palm tree forest. Rooms are really beautiful, as the outdoor bathroom. This place is simply the best accommodation we ever stayed in, I definitely and highly recommend this place ! A MUST TRY ! Thanks to the team and Sachiko, our stay in Villa Dhyan been the highlight of our travel!

We had a pleasant experience staying at Villa Dhyan. The staff on premises were very friendly and helpful. Our host was very attentive and was there to help with logistics when we needed. The villa has a great view and is located in a quite area where you can chill peacefully.

I almost don't want to leave a review because this place is SUCH a find and I want it all to myself!!! Haha!! This was the only Airbnb I TRULY loved in Ubud. The staff is incredible, the setting is to die for, they are such amazing chefs and will prepare any balinese food for you that you'd like... so heavenly! DO get a massage here... with the river flowing in the background.. its simply the best. Will come back if we're ever in Ubud again! Note: the mosquitos can be intense at sunset.

This place is absolutely incredible, we had amazing jungle sunrises and sunsets right for ourselves. One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed- set right over the jungle and overlooking the beautiful Ayung River. Even more special than the villa itself is the staff. They were so sweet and made me and my wife feel so special, cooking some of the best Balinese dishes we had throughout Bali right in the villa while we watched the sun set over the jungle. Agung's place is so highly recommended and totally exceed any expectations we had!

We had a fantastic stay at the villa, it was a perfect location to base ourselves for exploring Ubud and doing cycling and rafting nearby. Afterwards it was great to relax in the pool or in the lounges and enjoy the peacefulness and view, sipping on a beer or two.
